Fitted Sliding Wardrobes in Cardiff
Made to measure in our own workshop twelve miles up the road in Pontypridd, and fitted in a day.
We Know What Cardiff Bedrooms Are Like
Most of the wardrobes we fit in Cardiff go into Victorian and Edwardian terraces, and those houses have a particular set of problems. A chimney breast in the middle of the wall with an alcove either side. A bay window eating the only long wall. A box room over the stairs that is barely wide enough for a bed. Ceilings high enough that a shop-bought wardrobe leaves two feet of nothing above it.
None of that is a problem for a run built to the room. The alcoves either side of a chimney breast are usually where we find the most storage, and the height that a freestanding wardrobe wastes becomes the place your suitcases live.
The newer parts of the city are a different job again. Flats around the Bay and the houses out towards Pontprennau and St Mellons tend to have square rooms and lower ceilings, so the run is more straightforward but the space is tighter. That is usually where mirror doors earn their money, because they make a small square bedroom feel considerably bigger.
Floors and walls in the older houses are rarely straight. Our fitters scribe and adjust on the day, which is why a run that was measured properly still ends up square.

Twelve Miles Up the Road
The workshop is in Pontypridd, about twenty five minutes from most of Cardiff. That matters more than it sounds.
Made here, not ordered in
The workshop is in Pontypridd, about twenty five minutes from most of Cardiff. The person who measures your room works at the place your doors are made.
Our own fitter, not a subcontractor
Fitting day is one of our own team, not a subcontractor given your address that morning. If something ever needs adjusting, we come back ourselves.
No showroom markup
Companies with retail park showrooms pass on the rent, advertising and commission. We make ours ourselves, which is the whole reason we start at £799.
Questions From Cardiff Customers
There is no distance charge within 75 miles of our Pontypridd factory. A small charge may apply further afield, and we will confirm that before arranging your visit.
All locations are treated equally, so there are no priority areas. The visit can take place as soon as we possibly can, at a time that works for both you and us.
Yes, and in Cardiff terraces we do it most weeks. The alcoves either side of a chimney breast are usually where the best storage ends up.
Bay-fronted bedrooms are common across Canton, Roath and Penylan. The run usually goes on the wall opposite or into the alcoves, and we work it out at the design visit.
Not in a house of that age, no. Our fitters adjust on the day so the doors run properly and the run sits level.
Box rooms over the stairs are exactly where sliding doors earn their place, because a hinged door has nowhere to open. Mirror doors on a box room make a real difference to how big it feels.
No, we come to you, which is one of the reasons we are not charging retail park prices. If you would like to see the doors in person, they are on display at our workshop in Cilfynydd, at The Flooring & Bed Depot in Ebbw Vale, and at JB Carpets and Beds in Nelson.
